Symmetra.fit ("Symmetra," "we," "our," or "us") is operated by Prashant Nigam. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

By using Symmetra, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address, first name, last name, and gender. This is used to create and manage your account.

Profile & Onboarding Answers

Before a first assessment, we collect what you want to improve, how often stiffness or limited mobility affects you, weekly physical activity, current paid fitness or movement services, and your age range. Compatible answers personalize your assessment and exercise plan. Stiffness-frequency and paid-service selections are used only for first-party product research and do not affect your score or report.

Anonymous Acquisition & Funnel Data

When you start a free check, Symmetra creates a random first-party visitor identifier and stores questionnaire progress as each answer is selected. We also store the referring and landing page paths, CTA location, campaign parameters, ad or creative identifiers, and assessment milestones. This lets us understand which campaigns and visitor segments begin, finish, return for routines, or abandon. If you later create an account, the anonymous journey is linked to your internal account ID.

Assessment & Scan Results

We store your Symmetra Score, assessment results (joint angles, movement metrics), diagnostic reports, corrective exercise plans, weekly check-in responses, and progress history so you can track improvement over time.

Intake & Check-In Responses

Before each assessment, we ask about your current discomfort, stiffness, sitting habits, and whether you have a serious injury, recent surgery, or severe pain. These responses guide your assessment and ensure safety.

Optional Product Analytics

If you choose Analytics in Privacy Settings, we collect limited usage events such as page visits, button clicks, device and browser type, referral and campaign information, assessment step completion, camera permission outcomes, error codes, report readiness, and return usage. We use a pseudonymous identifier to connect activity across a session and, after authentication, your internal account ID. We do not send your name, email address, camera feed, assessment answers, movement measurements, score, or report contents to our analytics provider.

2. Camera & Video Data

Privacy by Design

Symmetra uses Google MediaPipe pose landmark detection to estimate body landmarks from your camera feed. Your camera video is processed entirely locally in your browser and is not uploaded, transmitted, or stored. Only the calculated joint angles and movement metrics (numerical data) are used for scoring and plan generation.

No photos, videos, or images of your body are ever sent to our servers, stored in our database, or shared with any third party. The camera feed exists only in your browser's memory during the active scan session.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your profile information, pre-scan answers, first-party acquisition journey, assessment results, scores, corrective exercise plans, and check-in history are stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Acquisition tables are accessible only through server-side service credentials; product data remains protected by Row-Level Security and authenticated server checks.

4. AI & Analysis Services

Your assessment findings (joint angles, movement metrics, intake responses, and profile information) are sent to AI language model services to generate your diagnostic report and corrective exercise plan. No raw camera data, photos, or videos are sent to AI services. Only numerical metrics and text-based responses are transmitted for analysis.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To personalize your movement assessment based on your profile.
  • To generate your Symmetra Score and diagnostic report.
  • To build your corrective exercise plan.
  • To track your progress over time through weekly check-ins.
  • To send you beta updates, product announcements, and service-related emails (with your consent).
  • To improve and develop the Symmetra platform.
  • To compare campaign and visitor segments across questionnaire, assessment, account, routine, and rescan milestones.
  • With Analytics consent, to understand acquisition, usability, technical reliability, assessment completion, and retention.

6. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data may be shared only with:

  • Supabase (database hosting and authentication).
  • PostHog (optional product and website analytics, hosted in the United States; no camera feed, assessment answers, movement measurements, scores, or report contents).
  • AI language model providers (for report and plan generation — numerical metrics and text responses only, no camera data).
  • As required by law, regulation, or legal process.

Symmetra does not load Meta Pixel or send questionnaire answers, campaign journeys, assessment data, or conversion events to Meta, Facebook, or Instagram.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and assessment data for as long as your account is active. Unclaimed anonymous acquisition journeys are retained for no longer than 12 months, and raw advertising click identifiers are removed after 90 days. Optional analytics data is retained for no longer than 12 months under our current analytics plan unless we configure a shorter period. We do not currently enable session replay. If you delete your account, linked acquisition journeys, profile data, assessment results, scores, and plans are removed, and we also delete or de-identify optional analytics data linked to your internal account ID where reasonably possible.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete your assessment data and account through your Profile Settings page. You can also request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing prashant.nigam2256@gmail.com. Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.

You can withdraw Analytics or Marketing consent at any time using the Privacy Settings control displayed on the site. Withdrawal stops future optional collection but does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. You may also request access to or correction of personal information by contacting us.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
  • No service role keys exposed in the frontend application.
  • Authentication-required API routes with user validation.
  • Sensitive environment variables are not committed to source control.
  • Camera data is never stored, logged, or transmitted.

10. Cookies

Symmetra uses essential first-party cookies and local storage for authentication, security, anonymous pre-scan progress, campaign attribution, session management, scan progress, and functional preferences. Questionnaire answers are written to a local retry queue and the Symmetra database as you proceed so an interrupted check can resume. If you explicitly choose Analytics, PostHog may use cookies or local storage to measure website and product usage, connect events within a session, and recognize returning usage. Analytics is disabled by default until you make that choice. No advertising pixel or marketing tracker is currently loaded. You can change or withdraw optional choices at any time through Privacy Settings.

11. Email Communications

By signing up, you consent to receive Symmetra beta updates and product emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Every email we send will include our contact information and an unsubscribe mechanism, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

12. Children's Privacy

Symmetra beta is currently available only to users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the service.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Symmetra after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
