Symmetra.fit ("Symmetra," "we," "our," or "us") is operated by Prashant Nigam. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

By using Symmetra, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address, first name, last name, and gender. This is used to create and manage your account.

Profile & Onboarding Answers

We collect your age range, daily sitting hours, activity level, primary goals, and discomfort areas. These responses personalize your assessment and exercise plan.

Assessment & Scan Results

We store your Symmetra Score, assessment results (joint angles, movement metrics), diagnostic reports, corrective exercise plans, weekly check-in responses, and progress history so you can track improvement over time.

Intake & Check-In Responses

Before each assessment, we ask about your current discomfort, stiffness, sitting habits, and whether you have a serious injury, recent surgery, or severe pain. These responses guide your assessment and ensure safety.

2. Camera & Video Data

Privacy by Design

Symmetra uses Google MediaPipe pose landmark detection to estimate body landmarks from your camera feed. Your camera video is processed entirely locally in your browser and is not uploaded, transmitted, or stored. Only the calculated joint angles and movement metrics (numerical data) are used for scoring and plan generation.

No photos, videos, or images of your body are ever sent to our servers, stored in our database, or shared with any third party. The camera feed exists only in your browser's memory during the active scan session.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your profile information, assessment results, scores, corrective exercise plans, and check-in history are stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Data is protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, ensuring you can only access your own data.

4. AI & Analysis Services

Your assessment findings (joint angles, movement metrics, intake responses, and profile information) are sent to AI language model services to generate your diagnostic report and corrective exercise plan. No raw camera data, photos, or videos are sent to AI services. Only numerical metrics and text-based responses are transmitted for analysis.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To personalize your movement assessment based on your profile.
  • To generate your Symmetra Score and diagnostic report.
  • To build your corrective exercise plan.
  • To track your progress over time through weekly check-ins.
  • To send you beta updates, product announcements, and service-related emails (with your consent).
  • To improve and develop the Symmetra platform.

6. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data may be shared only with:

  • Supabase (database hosting and authentication).
  • AI language model providers (for report and plan generation — numerical metrics and text responses only, no camera data).
  • As required by law, regulation, or legal process.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time. If you delete your account, all associated profile data, assessment results, scores, and plans will be permanently removed from our systems.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete your assessment data and account through your Profile Settings page. You can also request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing prashant.nigam2256@gmail.com. Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
  • No service role keys exposed in the frontend application.
  • Authentication-required API routes with user validation.
  • Sensitive environment variables are not committed to source control.
  • Camera data is never stored, logged, or transmitted.

10. Cookies

Symmetra uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use a small number of functional cookies (such as caching your display name for performance). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

11. Email Communications

By signing up, you consent to receive Symmetra beta updates and product emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Every email we send will include our contact information and an unsubscribe mechanism, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

12. Children's Privacy

Symmetra beta is currently available only to users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the service.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Symmetra after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
