What Symmetra Does
Symmetra is a movement education platform that uses camera-based pose detection to estimate body landmarks and calculate posture and movement metrics. It provides:
- General posture and mobility tracking.
- A Symmetra Score to help you track progress over time.
- Personalized corrective exercise plans based on widely-used fitness and corrective exercise principles.
- Movement analysis based on NASM-inspired corrective exercise principles.
- Weekly progress tracking through follow-up check-ins.
What Symmetra Does NOT Do
- Diagnose any medical condition, disease, or injury.
- Provide medical treatment or rehabilitation.
- Replace professional healthcare, physiotherapy, or medical advice.
- Guarantee improvement, results, or injury prevention.
- Provide clinical-grade assessments or measurements.
Safety During Use
Stop immediately if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, numbness, tingling, or worsening symptoms during any assessment or exercise. Skip anything that causes discomfort. You are solely responsible for your own safety when using Symmetra.
Beta Notice
Symmetra is currently in beta. The assessment and scoring system are being tested and improved. Results may not always be accurate and should be used as general fitness guidance, not medical advice. Camera setup, lighting, distance, and other factors may affect the accuracy of results.
How Your Scan Works
Symmetra uses Google MediaPipe pose landmark detection to estimate body landmarks from your camera feed. The app calculates posture and movement metrics such as shoulder tilt, forward head angle, knee tracking, foot turnout, squat depth, and overhead arm position. Camera video is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded or stored.
